It appears out of the corner of your eye…

Between two buildings that should be connected.

An alleyway, dark, cold, and strangely inviting.

But, be warned, once you enter the Dead’s End, you will find it hard to leave.

Even death cannot escape its winding path.

Dead's End is a system agnostic setting where those foolish enough to enter the alleyway will find a strange and disturbing world full of walking corpses, specters, and lost souls just trying to survive. This 8-page guide dedicates a page to each area of Dead's End, exploring unique locations like the Pale Alehouse and the Wailing Inn. Characters like the Black Bell Boys and the Organ Grinder breathe unlife into the crooked path as well as stir up trouble for naive travelers.

There are a lot of mysteries tucked away in Dead's End, but the biggest one is what lies at its end. Very few who reach the end of the road ever return, and those who do refuse to talk about it. The trouble is, once you enter the alleyway, it is nearly impossible to get back out. If one wants to leave, they must move forward.

Random and Interchangeable

Dead's End is customizable and the layout of the alleyway is ever changing. Add new areas or take away old ones.

  • Tables for random encounters and time fluctuations
  • Over a dozen plot hooks to pull PCs into the story.
  • Unique NPCs with a macabre flavor.

Dead's End can be easily inserted into any campaign setting, as the alley itself can appear and disappear at will. It can be used for a single story arc or stand alone as the main campaign setting.
